Technical Services

The Directorate of Technical Services is comprised of the departments;

  1. Quality assurance
  2. Information communication technology
  3. Capacity building
  4. Biomedical equipment technical services.
  5. Monitoring and Evaluation.

Quality assurance
The mandate of the JMS quality Assurance department is to maintain the desired level of quality in the JMS services and products at the different stages of product and service delivery. Through quality assurance JMS has been able to prevent, detect, intercept, and isolate substandard and poorly performing products as well as avoid and minimize problems during delivery of solutions and services to customers.

There are five quality assurance objectives:

  1. Comply with NDA regulation for storage and distribution of medicines
  2. Minimize receipt of substandard or counterfeit medicines and medical supplies
  3. Avoid deterioration of medicines during storage, handling and transportation
  4. Ensure that customers get quality service

About Us

Joint Medical Store (JMS) was established in 1979 as a joint venture of the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) and the Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB).
